Some foreign students may start studying in China again, Dragon said

China said Monday it plans to allow some foreign students to return to the country with “real demand”. The students have been stuck in their home country for almost two years due to China’s visa ban. The announcement comes amid reports that Beijing has granted visas to some Pakistani students.

Zhao did not deny reports of visas for Pakistani students, but did not comment on allowing 23,000 Indian students. Most of them were studying medicine in China. Last month, China pledged to work for the speedy return of more than 23,000 Indian students from India and assured New Delhi that they would not be discriminated against in any way as restoring their studies was not a political issue.
