America’s big announcement will give Ukraine, which is at war with Russia, many deadly weapons

The United States has again said it will help Ukraine fight Russia. US President Joe Biden on Wednesday announced an additional 800 million in security assistance for Ukraine. In the security package, Ukraine has promised to provide lethal weapons, including anti-aircraft systems.

Addressing the media at the White House, US President Joe Biden said that the new aid package for Ukraine would provide 800 anti-aircraft systems, 9000 anti-armor systems, 7000 small arms such as shotguns and grenade launchers, as well as drones. Following the US announcement, it is now thought that the war between Russia and Ukraine is not ending fast.

The US President is going to visit Europe

US President Joe Biden will visit Europe next week to discuss Russia’s aggression in Ukraine with European leaders. White House Press Secretary Jane Sackie made the announcement on Tuesday. Biden will meet with North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and European leaders in Brussels on March 24. Biden will make the trip following Vice President Kamala Harris’s visit to Poland and Romania’s eastern NATO countries last week.

UN Supreme Court orders end to war

On Wednesday, the UN Supreme Court ordered Russia to end its war in Ukraine. Although many doubt that Russia will follow. Two weeks ago, Ukraine requested the intervention of the International Court of Justice, arguing that Russia had violated the 1948 genocide agreement and attacked it in the guise of genocide.

Ukraine is hoping for an agreement

Ukraine has said that despite Russia’s growing bombings in Kyiv and Mariupol, it is looking at a negotiated settlement with Russia. Meanwhile, about 20,000 people have left the port city via a humanitarian corridor from Mariupol, Ukraine, surrounded by Russian forces. Till now such a large number of people have not migrated from there. In the meantime, the number of people leaving the country has exceeded three lakh.
