The United Arab Emirates (UAE) said on Friday that people from 15 countries who have received both doses of the World Health Organization (WHO)-approved COVID-19 vaccine can return to the UAE from September 12 with valid visas. The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) shared an official statement on Twitter saying that those who can return include those who have been abroad for more than six months.

According to the statement, the UAE allows returnees who have received both doses of the WHO-recognized COVID-19 vaccine from September 12, 2021, who have a valid visa. These also include those who lived abroad for more than six months. This decision of the UAE will give relief to travelers coming from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Namibia, Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Liberia, South Africa, Nigeria and Afghanistan.
Children will get discount
Giving information about the travel rules, the UAE said that travelers can apply through the website of the Federal Identification and Citizenship Authority (ICA). Passengers will also have to show a negative RT-PCR test report on arrival in the UAE. Testing for COVID-19 from an accredited laboratory should be done within 48 hours of departure. Children below 16 years of age will be exempted from this process.
