Singapore, Sep 1 (PTI) An Indian-origin man in Singapore was on Wednesday sentenced to at least six months of remedial training for sexually assaulting a friend. There is a provision for such, rehabilitation program punishment for people below 21 years of age who have committed serious crimes in the country. Singapore, Sep 1 (PTI) An Indian-origin man in Singapore was on Wednesday sentenced to at least six months of remedial training for sexually assaulting a friend. There is a provision for such, rehabilitation program punishment for people below 21 years of age who have committed serious crimes in the country.

Hari Kishan Balakrishnan (20) was convicted earlier this year of sexually assaulting a friend and making a pornographic film about him. Another charge of molestation was also considered at the time of sentencing. Balakrishnan had committed the crime on September 7 last year.

According to the news of ‘The Today’ newspaper, Balakrishnan made seven video clips of the 23-year-old friend when he was drunk and naked. However, he had removed the video clips which were later obtained by the police during forensic investigation.

District Judge May Mesenas’ court pronounced this sentence.
