There is a threat of another terrorist attack at Kabul airport. US President Joe Biden has said on Saturday that there will be another terrorist attack on the airport within the next 24 to 36 hours. On the other hand, amidst the fear of attack, the American has withdrawn its troops from near the gates of the airport. Now the responsibility of security of these gates has been given in the hands of Taliban.
The US President warned about another terrorist attack in Kabul, saying, “The situation there is very dangerous and the risk of terrorist attack is very high.” My commanders have told me that there may be another terrorist attack in the next 24 to 36 hours.
Biden said that further action would be taken against the people responsible for the attack in Kabul. He said, ‘I have had a meeting with my national security team. In this, there was a discussion about the air strikes on ISIS-K in Afghanistan. I have told them that we will continue to crack down on the terrorist organization that killed our soldiers and innocent lives in Kabul.
Biden said the attack on Islamic State-K in Afghanistan’s Nangar province was not the last, adding that any harm to US troops would have to pay the price. Biden also paid tribute on Saturday to the 13 soldiers who lost their lives in Kabul.
