He paid tribute to the victims of the terrorist attacks at the 9/11 memorial here. Sandhu tweeted on Saturday, “Paying tribute at the 9/11 Memorial in New York today. Remembering all the innocent victims of the dastardly attacks. Twenty years on, 9/11 is a clear reminder that the threat of terrorism remains a constant one. this danger to the world

He paid tribute to the victims of the terrorist attacks at the 9/11 memorial here.

Sandhu tweeted on Saturday, “Paying tribute at the 9/11 Memorial in New York today. Remembering all the innocent victims of the dastardly attacks. Twenty years later, 9/11 is a clear reminder that the threat of terrorism remains constant. The world should unite against this menace.

Sandhu, accompanied by Consul General of India Randhir Jaiswal and officials from the Indian Embassy and Consulate in New York, visited the 9/11 memorial and paid tribute at the memorial pools that once housed the North and South Towers (of the World Trade Center). Twin Towers) from which Al-Qaeda terrorists hit hijacked American Airlines and United Airlines planes.

The names of 2,983 people killed in the terrorist attacks of 2001 and 1993 are inscribed on the bronze mount of the memorial pools. Flowers and the national flag were placed here in memory of the victims.

The tricolor was placed next to the names of the Indian people killed in the attacks. In these attacks on September 11, 2001, about three thousand people from more than 90 countries including India were killed.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited the 9/11 memorial site in September 2014 and paid tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack.
