Will Mukul Roy leave BJP and go back to TMC? The answer to this question is being sought at present in the politics of West Bengal. While speculations are being made about this due to the developments of the last few days, TMC MP Saugata Roy has given a big indication in a way about this. Talking to NDTV, Saugata Roy said, ‘There are many people who are in touch with Abhishek Banerjee and want to come back. I think such people betrayed the party at the time of need. Roy said that Mamta didi has to take the final decision in this regard. But I think those returning from the party can be divided into two categories. These are softliners and hardliners.
However, Saugata Roy gave a clear indication about Mukul Roy. He said that softliners are those who left the party but never insulted Mamata Banerjee. Hardliners are those who have made public statements about Mamata Banerjee. He said that if we see about this, Shubhendu Adhikari said a lot about Mamta Banerjee after joining BJP. At the same time, Mukul Roy never openly said anything wrong about Mamta didi. His statement clearly indicates that in the coming days, Mukul Roy may turn to TMC and the party is ready for it.
Mukul Roy did not attend the BJP meeting held in Kolkata recently. Apart from this, Mamta Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee had reached the hospital to see Mukul Roy’s wife. After these two incidents, there is speculation that Mukul Roy may leave the party. These speculations got more air when Mukul Roy’s son said that we will talk about politics later and anything can happen. Mukul Roy was the first leader to leave TMC. After this he broke a large number of TMC leaders and got them to join BJP. TMC says that at present there are 35 BJP leaders who are in touch with them and want to return.
