Will it be easy for BJP in Punjab through Kartarpur Corridor? PM can take big decision

The BJP leaders of Punjab have met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and demanded the opening of the Gurdwara Kartarpur Corridor. The delegation has urged to open this corridor before Guru Nanak Jayanti on November 19, so that devotees can visit the Gurudwara in Pakistan and pay their respects. This corridor has been closed since the start of the corona epidemic. The meeting assumes significance in view of the assembly elections in Punjab, as the BJP is trying to establish its roots among the Sikh community in the state. In such a situation, if the central government takes a big decision, then BJP can get its benefit. Significantly, the Kartarpur Corridor was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2019.

State President Ashwini Sharma, National Vice President Saudan Singh, General Secretary Tarun Chugh and Dushyant Gautam included a dozen leaders in the BJP delegation that met the Prime Minister. According to sources, this delegation will also meet BJP President JP Nadda. After this, these leaders are also likely to meet Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday. Before the assembly elections in Punjab, BJP is making a lot of efforts to strengthen its ground. In such a situation, the party is giving priority to such issues which are directly related to the interests of the land and the people.

Peasant movement a big issue in Punjab elections

Farmers movement is a big issue in Punjab elections. It is believed that the leaders of the state will also meet the BJP leadership on this issue and express their views. The central government can soon take some initiative regarding the farmers’ movement, so that a way can be found to end the movement. In this the issue of making MSP a law is prominent. This demand has also been made by the Bhartiya Kisan Sangh.

BJP may also get some allies in the state

If this happens, BJP may also get some allies in the state and its political position can be strengthened. The BJP is also eyeing Captain Amarinder Singh’s future party, but an issue of farmers’ agitation and agricultural laws may stand in the middle of it. If the government takes a decision, then a new innings of BJP can start with Amarinder Singh as well.
