The Health Ministry has also said that the second wave of corona is not over yet and the months of September and October are very important for epidemic management due to many festivals to come.

ICMR Director General Balram Bhargava said that the vaccine is to reduce the disease, not to prevent it, so it is very important to keep using the mask even after vaccination.

‘Celebrate the festival with caution’

Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that the months of September and October will be very important for corona management and festivals should be celebrated following the corona rules. He also said that the second wave of corona is still not over in the country. Bhushan said, “We are still in the middle of the second surge of COVID-19 in our country. The second wave is still not over. That’s why we have to take all necessary precautions, especially keeping in mind the experience that the transition has accelerated after every festival. are going. Still more than 10% infection in 41 districts

The Health Ministry said in a press conference on Thursday that the weekly infection rate in 41 districts of the country is still more than 10 percent. Kerala is the only state where the number of patients under treatment for Kovid-19 is more than one lakh, while the number of patients undergoing treatment in four states ranges from ten thousand to one lakh. Last week, 58.4 percent of the total Kovid-19 cases have been reported in Kerala.

Infected among those coming from Afghanistan

The government said that some corona positives have also been found among those brought from Afghanistan. The infected people have been isolated and are undergoing treatment.
