Till Teachers’ Day, all teachers should get corona vaccine, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya’s advice to the states


Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has requested all the states to vaccinate all the teachers by 5th September. The Health Minister has tweeted and said that all school teachers should be vaccinated by September 5. The Health Minister tweeted, “In addition to the plan to provide vaccine to every state this month, more than 2 crore vaccine doses are being made available. We have requested all the states to start from Teachers’ Day on 5th September. First try to vaccinate all school teachers by giving priority.

The government had decided to close schools across the country in March last year and move classes online, ahead of the nationwide lockdown to contain the spread of Covid-19. At the same time, schools were opened for large classes in some states. The total figure of Kovid-19 vaccination in India has crossed 59 crores.

According to the provisional report received till 7 am on Wednesday, 61,90,930 vaccines were administered in the last 24 hours. With this, vaccination has crossed 59.55 crore (59,55,04,593). According to the Ministry of Health, 51.11 crore tests have been done in the country so far.

With the recovery of 34,169 corona-infected patients in the last 24 hours, the total number of cured patients (since the start of the epidemic) has increased to 3,17,54,281. The recovery rate has reached 97.67 percent.
