BJP MP Varun Gandhi, who has opinion outside the party line on many occasions, has been continuously criticizing the policies of Yogi government for some time now. Once again, BJP MP Varun Gandhi has criticized the Yogi government for the flood situation in Uttar Pradesh. Varun Gandhi attacked the Uttar Pradesh government over the massive floods caused by heavy rains in his parliamentary constituency, Pilibhit, asking what’s the point of the government if the common man is left to fend for himself.
Varun, MP from Pilibhit, tweeted, ‘Most of the Terai area is badly affected by the floods. Dry ration has been provided to the people affected by the floods so that no family remains hungry till the end of this menace. It is sad that when the common man needs the administrative system the most, it is only then that it is left to its own. When everything has to be done on its own then what is the point of the government.
Much of the Terai is badly flooded. Donating dry rations by hand so that no family is hungry till this calamity ends. It’s painful that when the common man needs the system the most,he’s left to fend for himself. If every response is individual-led then what does ‘governance’ mean pic.twitter.com/P2wF7Tb431

In Daras, Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri and Bareilly districts, several villages have become islands and a large number of people have been engulfed in floods due to heavy rains in the past. The Sharda and Deoha rivers in Pilibhit are in great spate and a large number of villages along their banks have been submerged by the flood waters.
The administration on Wednesday took the help of the army to rescue more than 500 villagers trapped in Pilibhit due to the floods of the Sharda river. Regional BJP MP Varun Gandhi had written a letter to the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath demanding compensation for the damage caused to crops due to floods. Let us tell you that in the past, Varun Gandhi was thrown out of the BJP’s national executive.
