The uncontrollable infection has created a furore amid the ongoing fourth wave of Corona in the capital Delhi. For the first time in one day, more than 5500 new patients were received on Wednesday and the death of 20 patients has worsened the situation. The total number of infected patients has now crossed 6.90 lakhs in Delhi. With this, the positivity rate has also increased to more than 6 percent. Corona infection was confirmed in 5100 patients on Tuesday.
According to the Health Bulletin released by the Health Department of Delhi Government on Wednesday, where 5506 new patients of Corona have been found in the last 24 hours, after the death of 20 more patients, the total number of dead has increased to 11,133. Today, 3363 patients recovered completely and became corona free, while on Tuesday the number was 2340. The health department said that the total number of infected people in Delhi has so far reached 6,90,568 and 10,048 patients are in home isolation.

Now active cases of corona virus infection have also increased to 19,455 in the capital. At the same time, a total of 6,59,980 patients have become corona free by defeating this epidemic. With this, the death toll has so far risen to 11,133.

According to the Delhi Health Department, today a total of 90,201 tests have been done in Delhi. Of these, 52,477 RTPR / CBNAAT / TRUNAT tests and 37,724 rapid antigen tests were performed. A total of 15,165,413 tests have been conducted in Delhi so far and 7,98,179 tests have been done per 10 lakh people. With this, after the creation of 417 new Containment Zones in Delhi today, their number has also increased to 3708 as compared to 3291 on Tuesday.
Corona was confirmed in 3548 patients on Monday, 4033 on Sunday, 3567 on Saturday and 3594 on Friday.
Government keeps a close watch on Kovid-19 situation
As the cases of Kovid-19 increased rapidly in the capital, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that the AAP government is alert to the epidemic situation and is monitoring the situation. He said that no one needs to panic. In the last few days, about 2,000 beds have been increased in various hospitals and another 2000-2500 beds will be arranged in the next few days.
