Bagchi tweeted, “Bringing Indians home from Afghanistan! AI 1956 plane leaves Tajikistan for New Delhi carrying 87 Indians. Two Nepalese nationals were also evacuated.”

Now two flights every day to bring Indians from Kabul

India has been allowed to operate two flights daily for the safe return of Indians stranded in Afghanistan. Government sources said that two Indian aircraft will be allowed to operate from Kabul airport. American and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) forces have been given the responsibility for the operation and control of Kabul’s Hamid Karzai International Airport since its occupation of Afghanistan on August 15. A total of 25 flights are being operated by them, as they are currently focused on evacuating their civilians, weapons and equipment.
