For the Aam Aadmi Party, after Delhi, Punjab has been the only state where it has been eyeing expansion. The Aam Aadmi Party had also achieved great success in the 2017 assembly elections by winning 20 out of the total 117 seats in the state. But now after 5 years, when AAP is expecting a harvest of votes on the fertile land of Punjab, then it is facing a setback. On Tuesday itself, another party MLA Rupinder Kaur Ruby left the party. After meeting CM Charanjit Singh Channi, there is speculation that he will join Congress. If this happens, she will be the fourth MLA who will join the Congress in the last few months.
Earlier in June, three MLAs, including Sukhpal Singh Khaira, had joined the Congress. Apart from Khaira, Bhadaur MLA Piermal Singh and Maur MLA Jagdev Singh Khalsa also joined the Congress. In this way, in the last 5 years, there is a continuous decrease in the MLAs of the Aam Aadmi Party. Not only this, the party is also battling with infighting. Due to this, Sukhpal Khaira left the party and attacked Arvind Kejriwal, calling him a dictator. Not only this, he had said that he is a fake revolutionary and is working as a ‘B team’ of the BJP-Sangh itself.
Supporters of Bhagwant Mann have demonstrated for CM candidature
On one hand the Aam Aadmi Party is battling with the exodus of MLAs and leaders, while on the other hand the infighting is no less. The election is on the head and till now the CM face has not been announced by the party. Arvind Kejriwal has reiterated many times that he will project the Sikh face and the leader who enhances the pride of Punjab as CM, but till now the picture is not clear. Not only this, the displeasure of Bhagwant Mann, who was a big face of Punjab in the party, has also been seen, who has been considering himself as a contender for the CM candidature. Not only this, in September, his supporters demonstrated outside the house of leader of the party’s assembly, Harpal Singh Cheema. Their demand was that Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann should be declared the CM face for the 2022 assembly elections.
Mr.@ArvindKejriwal ji Convener, AAP & @BhagwantMann ji This is hereby inform u that I am resigning with immediate effect from the membership of Aam Aadmi Party. Please accept my resignation.Thx Rupinder Kaur Ruby.(MLA Bti.rural)

Is there displeasure with Bhagwant Mann in the leadership of ‘AAP’?
It is being said that due to this aggression, there is resentment in the top leadership. Arvind Kejriwal has come to Punjab continuously in the last several months. He has made many announcements like free electricity, water, on which he also got success in Delhi. But so far, in the matter of leadership, the Aam Aadmi Party has been seen in a turmoil. In such a situation, just before the 2022 assembly elections, the MLAs leaving the party and the displeasure of the leaders can overwhelm the Aam Aadmi Party. The question is that if it continues like this, how will the broom be able to run in Punjab.
