The increasing cases of Corona once again have raised concerns. At present, Kerala and Maharashtra are getting the maximum number of cases and the central government has advised both the states to consider imposing night curfew. On Friday, once again more than 44 thousand corona cases have been found. Earlier on Thursday, more than 46 thousand cases were reported. In the middle of this month, the number of new cases of corona was reduced to 25,166, which was the lowest level in 5 months. But after that there has been an increase once again. Especially in the last three days, there has been a rapid increase in the cases of corona. More crisis is being seen, especially in Kerala, where festivals like Bakrid and Onam were recently relaxed.
On Thursday, the Union Home Secretary held a meeting with the officers of Maharashtra and Kerala regarding the increasing cases of Corona. During this meeting, the Home Secretary asked the states that how can we rein in the corona in those areas where cases are getting more. He advised both the states to intensify contact tracing, vaccination drive and follow the rules of Corona. Apart from this, he has asked both the state governments to consider the possibility of imposing night curfew. The Home Secretary asked the Kerala and Maharashtra governments to expedite the campaign for vaccination and demand if there is a shortage of vaccines.
The Home Secretary said that even though the vaccination campaign is in full swing and a large number of people have got both the vaccines, but even after this the rules of Corona should be followed. The central government has advised to follow the rules during the coming festive season. The Center has asked the states to ban social events and not allow overcrowding even during the festival. If the cases of corona increase further in the coming days, then once again the days of restrictions can return.
