While new cases of corona are continuously decreasing across the country, the southern state of Kerala has once again set a record. On Tuesday, 22 thousand 129 new cases of corona have come in the state. For the first time in the last 51 days, more than 20 thousand cases of corona have been found in a single day in a state. The test infection rate (TPR) in the state has again crossed 12 percent. The record of new cases of infection in the state of Kerala has once again raised concerns.

According to the latest figures, 156 people have died due to corona in the state within a day. So far, Corona has killed 16 thousand 326 patients in Kerala. It is also a matter of trouble that 116 of the new patients are health workers.

After 13 thousand 145 patients became infection free, the number of people recovering increased to 31,43,043. At present, 1 lakh 45 thousand 371 corona patients are being treated in the state.

More than 2,000 cases of infection have been reported in five districts of the state. The maximum number of 4,037 cases have been reported from Malappuram. This was followed by Thrissur with 2,623, Kozhikode 2,397 and Ernakulam 2,352 and Palakkad 2,115, Kollam 1,914 and Kottayam 1,136, Thiruvananthapuram 1,100, Kannur 1,072 and Alappuzha 1,064.

Corona infection increased in 22 districts of the country

Health Ministry’s Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal said in a press conference on Tuesday that 22 districts of the country have registered an increase in infection during the last four weeks. These include 7 in Kerala, 5 in Manipur, three each in Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh, two in Maharashtra and one each in Assam and Tripura.
