The second wave of Corona virus has now shifted to the southern states except the states of North India. Talking about statistics, it seems right. In the last 24 hours, there have been 1,86,364 new cases of corona infection in the country. More than half of these cases have been found in 4 states of South India. Tamil Nadu has the highest number of 33,361 cases. Apart from this, 24,214 cases have been found in Karnataka in the last one day. Apart from this, about 24,166 have also been found in Kerala. Apart from this, 16,167 new cases have been reported in Andhra Pradesh. Combining the figures of these four states, a total of around 98,000 cases have been found, while 88,000 cases have been found in the rest of India.

Apart from these 4 states, Maharashtra comes in number, where 21,273 new cases have been found in the last one day. On the other hand, states of North India like Delhi, UP, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Kashmir, Haryana and Punjab have been witnessing a decline in the corona cases continuously for the past one month. Even though more than 23 thousand cases were being received during the peak in Andhra Pradesh, but still the figure has not come down much. Apart from this, on May 21, the maximum number of cases of more than 36 thousand were found on 21 May. Since then, the figure has remained constant beyond 30 thousand. It is clear that the second wave of Corona has not yet come downhill in this southern state.

It is also noteworthy that Tamil Nadu was not getting much cases when the second wave of Corona was at the peak in early May in the states of North India. On May 1, 19,588 new cases were received in the state, while on May 27, 33,361 new cases were found. However, in case of Karnataka, there have been less than half of Corona cases in the state as compared to Peak. On May 11, more than 50,000 cases were received in the state, while now the number of new cases has come down to 24 thousand. At the same time, the situation is not much better in Kerala, which is facing the growing cases of Corona for the past several months. On May 5, 41,953 cases were received in the state, while now the figure has come down to 24,166. However, the situation is still not very good compared to other states.
