State budget for 2020-21 to be presented on Monday
The month-long budget session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly (Bihar Legislative Assembly) will begin on Friday and this time Deputy Chief Minister Tarakishore Prasad will present his first budget. Prasad has replaced Sushil Kumar Modi and, like the former deputy chief minister, is taking charge of the finance ministry. Governor Fagu Chauhan will address a joint session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly and Legislative Assembly on Friday, after which Prasad will present an economic survey of the state. Asked about the opposition’s tactics during the session, which ended on March 24, RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav told reporters that the opposition would raise a number of issues during the session. Tejaswi Yadav is leading the five-party grand alliance. On the other hand, Bihar Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha and Bihar Legislative Assembly Executive Chairman Av Dhesh Narayan Singh called an all-party meeting and called for the cooperation of all members for the smooth running of the House.
