There has been a stir in Tamil Nadu after the burnt dead bodies of four members of a farming family were found. The incident is from Dindigul district. Giving specific details of the case, Superintendent of Police R Srinivasan said that ‘burnt bodies of four members of a farmer’s family have been found. The dead bodies of all these people have been found from a maize field in Palani. Further investigation is going on in the matter. Panic spread in the area after the dead bodies of 4 people were found on the first morning of Saturday. The police suspect that all these people were first murdered and then the dead bodies were brought amidst the dry grass and burnt them.
The deceased have been identified as 52-year-old Murugasan, 45-year-old Valaramathi, 21-year-old Shivaranjini and Karthikeen. Murugesan worked as a farmer. Further investigation also revealed that Shivaranjini had completed her graduation and Karthiken was pursuing B.Com. Further investigation also revealed that the farmer’s family had returned home after attending a family function.
On Saturday morning, the neighbor of the farmer family was the first to see smoke rising, after which they raised an alarm. But after getting no response from the farmer’s family, he informed the fire services. Four charred bodies were found after the fire was doused. After which the police was immediately informed about it. The police immediately took all the bodies in possession and sent them to the hospital for medical examination.
The Inspector General of Police, (South Zone), TS Anbu, Dindigul Range Deputy IG B Vijayakumari and the Superintendent of Police reached the spot to collect important evidence. Fingerprints and forensic experts were also called on the spot to gather more information. The dog squad was also called to the spot for the disclosure of this case. Other relatives of the deceased are also being questioned in this case.
