Tainted drug traffickers in Deshpunjab, one arrested with heroin worth 65 crores

There is a tightening of screws in Punjab on drug smuggling. Here, anti-narcotic cell of the Ferozepur police and BSF arrested a drug smuggler with heroin worth Rs 65 crore in a joint operation.

SSP Ferozepur said, ‘The accused was arrested with 180 grams of heroin. During interrogation, he revealed 12.9 kg of heroin which was recovered from the Zero line of LOC.

Here, in Hoshiarpur, the state police has registered a case by controlling two people with 84 grams of intoxicating powder as part of a special campaign launched by the district police against drug smugglers.

ASI Avtar Singh of Thane Gadhidiwala was going from the station Gadhidiwala along with fellow police staff towards village Darapur that as soon as those people reached near Cholipur, a man was walking on the rough path, who started going back after seeing the police. When the police signaled to stop, the person dropped the envelope from his pocket and started running away, then the police caught him and checked by picking up the envelope, then 24 grams of intoxicating powder was recovered from it.
