State Corona Update: Maharashtra, Punjab and Chhattisgarh report maximum deaths due to corona virus

New Delhi (Loksatya). Maharashtra, Punjab and Chhattisgarh have recorded the highest number of deaths during the last 24 hours due to the global pandemic Corona virus (Kovid-19). During this period, 249 people have died the most from Kovid-19 in Maharashtra. 58 people died in Punjab.

During this period 714 people have died across the country due to Kovid-19, out of which 581 people have died in these three states only. While 481 people have died in Maharashtra, 57 in Punjab and 43 in Chhattisgarh have died due to this deadly virus.

According to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday morning, 89,129 new cases of corona infection were reported during the last 24 hours. After this, the total number of infected has increased to one crore 23 lakh 92 thousand 260. During this time, 44,202 patients have become healthy, so far 1,15,69,241 patients have also become corona free. There have been 6,58,909 active cases. In the same period, the death toll from the disease has risen to 1,64,110 with 714 more patients dying.

The recovery rate in the country has come down partially to 93.36 percent and the rate of active cases has increased to 5.32 percent while the death rate has come down to 1.32 percent.
