Sharad Pawar said on Lakhimpur ruckus, not retired, present judge should investigate the matter

Political developments are changing day by day in the Lakhimpur uproar case. Opposition parties are continuously targeting the Yogi Adityanath government of UP. Now the statement of NCP chief Sharad Pawar has come to the fore in the matter. They say that they are with the farmers and the matter should be investigated by the sitting judge and not the retired judge.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar says, “We want the Lakhimpur incident to be investigated by a sitting Supreme Court judge instead of a retired judge, so that the truth can come out.” The government is suppressing the voice of farmers but they will not succeed. We are with the farmers and will take every step to solve their problems.

On the other hand, there is also news that a case has been registered against Priyanka Gandhi in the Lakhimpur Kheri uproar case. He is presently in Sitapur Guest House, where he has been kept under observation. The families of two of the four farmers killed in the Lakhimpur Kheri uproar have refused to perform the last rites. The relatives are asking to perform the last rites only after seeing the post-mortem report. The relatives allege that there may be ‘games’ in the post-mortem report.

Earlier yesterday, Rs 45-45 lakh compensation to the next of kin of the deceased, government job to each member of the family as per the qualification, Rs 10-10 lakh compensation to the injured, after the consent of the retired judge of the High Court to investigate the whole matter. The family agreed to perform the last rites.
