This committee has made several important points in its recommendations. In these, the AIIMS administration has decided to implement the recommendation to increase the time of investigation.

Recommendation to do free checks up to Rs 500

To provide relief to the patients, the committee of AIIMS has recommended free of cost all types of tests for patients who reach the institute for less than Rs 500. The committee said that if the tests up to Rs 500 are done free of cost to the patients, then they will not have to stand in the bill line for most of the tests and poor patients will also get relief from this. AIIMS has sent this recommendation of the committee to the ministry. Now the Union Health Ministry has to take a decision on this.

No relief for OPD appointment yet

Despite the decrease in the cases of corona infection in AIIMS, the OPD service has not come back on track yet. Every day only 50 patients are being seen in OPD in a department. New patients are not able to get online appointment even for the next 2 months.
