Prime Minister Narendra Modi today (January 1, Saturday, January 1) launched a vaccination campaign in India. Three lakh people will be vaccinated today. Inaugurating the event, Prime Minister Modi said, “Today, the whole country is eagerly waiting. For months, children, the elderly and young people in every home in the country had questions about when the coronavirus vaccine would arrive. Now the vaccine has arrived in a very short time.
Addressing the nation, Prime Minister Modi said, “Three crore people will be vaccinated in the first phase of this vaccination campaign. In the second phase, we have to take it to 30 crore. Those who are elderly, those who are suffering from a serious illness will be vaccinated at this stage. As you can imagine, there are only three countries in the world with a population of 300 million – India, China and America itself. Never before in history has there been such a large-scale vaccination campaign.
Prime Minister Modi further said, “There are more than 100 countries in the world with a population of less than 30 million and India is vaccinating 30 million people in the first phase of vaccination. I would like to remind you again that it is very important to take two doses of coronavirus vaccine. Between the first and second doses, an interval of about a month will also be kept. After just 2 weeks of the second dose, your body will develop the necessary strength against corona. India’s vaccination campaign is based on very humane and important principles. Whoever needs it the most will get the coronavirus vaccine first.
