PM Narendra Modi will discuss the situation arising out of Corona from DM of 54 districts of 10 states of the country today. In this meeting, PM Narendra Modi will review the situation at the ground level due to the Corona crisis. Chief Ministers of the respective states can also attend this meeting. This will be the second meeting of PM Narendra Modi with the District Magistrates. In this regard, PM Modi had the first meeting on 18 May. In the first round, he spoke to the DMs of 46 districts of the country. Till now, PM Narendra Modi can hold a meeting with several Chief Ministers of the country regarding the situation arising out of Corona.
In several states like Maharashtra, Delhi, UP, PM Narendra Modi had a review meeting with the Chief Ministers regarding the growing corona cases. But now the Corona wave is spreading in the villages. In such a situation, PM Narendra Modi has now decided to hold district-wise meetings. He will talk to the DMs of the districts where Corona has more cases. Let us know that the effect of the first wave of Corona last year was mainly seen in big cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, but now the effect of the second wave is also seen in the rural areas.
Corona cases have also increased rapidly in backward areas and rural areas of states like UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka and Kerala. However, in the last few days, the second wave of corona has seen a weakening. For several days, new cases were seen more than 4 lakhs every day, but now this figure has come down to less than 3 lakhs. Since May 9, the pace of new cases has been steadily decreasing. Not only this, the total number of active corona cases in the country has also decreased by 1,27,046. With this, the total number of active cases has increased to 32,26,719.
