In view of the increasing cases of corona virus in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is meeting every day with officials and different groups to make a strategy to control the epidemic. On Friday also, PM Modi held a review meeting with various empowered groups formed on Kovid-19 through video conference.
In this review meeting, PM Modi said that steps should be taken to expedite the settlement of pending insurance claims so that the dependents of the deceased get timely benefits. Apart from this, PM Modi directed that the Center should work in coordination with the states to ensure the benefit of free food grains to the poor without any problem.
The review meeting called on the Kovid-19 crisis said that the authorities should consider the possibilities by which civil society can be used to reduce pressure on the health sector. After PM Modi’s meeting, the government said that former military personnel can command the call center set up to communicate with the people living in home detachment. Along with this, NGOs can also help in establishing and maintaining dialogue between patients, their dependents and health workers.
Let us tell you that amid the Kovid-19 crisis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday requested the Union Ministers to keep in touch with the people in their areas, help them and keep them informed about the situation. Presiding over the Council of Ministers meeting, according to an official statement, Modi also stressed the need to ensure speedy identification and disposal of issues at the local level.
The statement said that this meeting was organized in a digital way to discuss the situation arising out of the second wave of Kovid-19 in the country. It said that the epidemic has created a crisis-like situation once in a century and has presented a great challenge to the world.
