PM Modi’s announcement from Red Fort – 75 Vande Bharat trains will connect every corner of the country in 75 weeks


Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address to the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of independence, announced that 75 Vande Bharat trains will connect every corner of the country within 75 weeks. Let us inform that at present Vande Bharat Express is running on two routes in the country. Vande Bharat semi high speed trains are being made under Make in India policy and are up to 90 per cent indigenous.

PM Modi said in his speech, ‘Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the country has resolved that 75 Vande Bharat trains will be connecting every corner of the country in 75 weeks of the Amrit Festival of Independence. Today, the speed at which new airports are being built in the country, UDAN scheme connecting remote areas is also unprecedented: India needs to adopt a holistic approach in infrastructure construction along with modern infrastructure. India is going to launch the Prime Minister Gatishakti – National Master Plan in a short time to come.

The first Vande Bharat Express was run between Delhi and Varanasi in February 2019. After this, in October 2019, this train was run between New Delhi and Katra.


This train is also the first priority of the new Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. According to reports, the Ministry of Railways has also planned to connect 10 cities by running 10 such new trains by next year i.e. August 2022.

The new trains are expected to have additional features like seat reclining, bacteria-free air-conditioning system, four emergency windows, four emergency push buttons instead of two in each coach.
