New Delhi (LokSatya). Countering the sharp attitude of the opposition in the monsoon session of Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the opposition is disappointed with the success of the government in the Corona epidemic and that is why it is running away from the discussion.

Modi said this while addressing a meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Parliamentary Party. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi told reporters that in the meeting, the Prime Minister said that the pandemic of Kovid is not a political issue for us but a humanitarian issue. For the first time in the last century, when food grains were given to a large section of the population and we were able to do it successfully. We have done this work not out of a sense of kindness or favor, but out of a sense of duty.

Joshi said that in the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed deep concern over the stand of the opposition and said that the opposition is not allowing people’s issues to arise in Parliament. Congress thinks that power and prime ministership is their right and it is working in this spirit. This government wants to have a rich and meaningful discussion in the House. The country is facing this pandemic for the last two years. But the behavior of the opposition is very irresponsible.

According to the Parliamentary Affairs Minister, the Prime Minister called upon all the MPs to contribute in making the vaccination and poor welfare program accessible to all the poor. The world’s largest free vaccination program is going on in India. About 41 crore people in the country have got at least one dose vaccine. People are urged to get vaccinated when their turn comes. The Prime Minister expressed concern over 20 per cent of Delhi’s frontline workers not being vaccinated and urged them to get vaccinated at the earliest.

Joshi said that the Prime Minister said that about 80 crore people have been distributed free food grains and this work will continue till December. The opposition is disappointed with our success. We want that there should be discussion in the house to keep all these true achievements in front of the country but whether it is Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha the opposition is running away from the discussion.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Gayel, Bharatiya Janata Party President Jagat Prakash Nadda, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal were present in the meeting. According to the Kovid protocol, all the MPs were sitting with a difference of one seat and all were wearing masks.
