Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday that the national education policy is not only in line with state-of-the-art and global standards, but it is as practical as it is practical. Addressing the 95th Annual Meeting of the Indian Universities Association and the National Conference of Vice Chancellors through video conference, the Prime Minister said that equal rights of citizens bring harmony in the society and the country progresses.
He said, “Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan used to emphasize the Indian character of education. This becomes even more important in today’s global scenario. National education policy is state-of-the-art and in line with global standards. ”Prime Minister Modi said that Dr. Radhakrishnan spoke about various aspects of education and that is reflected in the core of this education policy.
He said, “I have been constantly discussing with the experts about the National Education Policy. As practical as it is, its implementation is equally practical. “The Prime Minister said that every student has his or her own ability and when the teacher gives institutional capacity along with his or her internal capacity, their (students) development becomes wider.” .
He said, “By this our youth can do what they want to do.” Therefore, the special emphasis of the country is on skill development. Today, as the country is moving forward with the self-reliant India campaign, the role of skilled youth and their demand is also increasing. ”
Paying tributes to the architect of the Constitution Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar on his birth anniversary, the Prime Minister said that India has been the mother of democracy in the world and democracy has been a part of our civilization and ways. He said, “India after independence should move forward by strengthening its same democratic heritage, Babasaheb gave its strong foundation to the country.”
Modi said, “Along with education, self-esteem also increases. By self-respect, a person is aware of his right, harmony in the society comes from equal rights and the country progresses. ”
This two-day event has been organized by Baba Saheb Ambedkar Open University, Ahmedabad. It was also attended by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Governor Acharya Devvrat and Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi also released four books based on the life of Babasaheb Ambedkar and written by Kishore Makwana.
