New Delhi (LokSatya). Petrol and diesel prices remained stable at record levels today. Prices were hiked on Sunday. According to leading oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation, the price of petrol in Delhi remained unchanged at Rs 97.22 and that of diesel at a record low of Rs 87.97 per litre. So far in June in Delhi, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 2.99 and that of diesel by Rs 2.82. Earlier in May, petrol was costlier by Rs 3.83 and diesel by Rs 4.42.
There was no change in the prices of both the fossil fuels in other cities of the country as well. The price of petrol in Mumbai today stood at Rs 103.36 and that of diesel at Rs 95.44 per liter. In Chennai, a liter of petrol was sold for Rs 98.40 and diesel for Rs 92.58. In Kolkata, petrol was found at Rs 97.12 and diesel Rs 90.82 per liter.
Petrol and diesel prices are reviewed daily and based on that new prices are implemented every day from 6 am.
