New Delhi (LokSatya). After increasing the prices of petrol and diesel for two consecutive days, there was no change in them today. According to leading oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation, the price of petrol in Delhi remained stable at Rs 100.56 and diesel at Rs 89.62 per litre.
The current sequence of increasing the price of petrol and diesel started on May 04. Petrol was costlier by Rs 8.41 and diesel by Rs 8.45 in May and June in Delhi. So far in July, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 1.75 and that of diesel by 46 paise per liter.
The prices of both the fossil fuels remained unchanged in other metropolitan cities as well. Petrol in Mumbai stood at Rs 106.59 and Diesel at Rs 97.18 per liter. Petrol in Chennai sold for Rs 101.37 and diesel at Rs 94.15 per liter. Petrol in Kolkata remained stable at Rs 100.62 and diesel at Rs 92.65 per liter.
Petrol and diesel prices are reviewed daily and based on that new prices are implemented every day from 6 am.
