New Delhi (LokSatya). There was no change in the prices of petrol and diesel on Tuesday and they remained at record levels. Earlier on Monday, petrol became costlier while diesel prices remained unchanged.
According to leading oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation, the price of petrol in Delhi remained stable at an all-time high of Rs 99.86 per litre. Diesel remained unchanged at Rs 89.36 per liter for the second day in a row.
The current sequence of increasing the price of petrol and diesel started on May 04. Petrol was costlier by Rs 8.41 and diesel by Rs 8.45 in May and June in Delhi. In July, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 1.05 and that of diesel by 18 paise per liter.
There was no change in the prices of both the fossil fuels in other cities of the country today. Petrol in Mumbai stood at Rs 105.92 and diesel at Rs 96.91 per liter.
In Chennai, petrol was sold at Rs 100.75 and diesel at Rs 93.91 per liter. Petrol in Kolkata stood at Rs 99.84 and diesel at Rs 92.27 per liter.
Petrol and diesel prices are reviewed daily and based on that new prices are implemented every day from 6 am.
