New Delhi (LokSatya). Petrol and diesel prices remained stable at a record high on Sunday. Earlier on Saturday their prices were increased. According to leading oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation, petrol price in Delhi remained unchanged at Rs 100.91 and diesel at Rs 89.88 per liter today. After the elections in West Bengal and other four states, their prices have increased rapidly.
The current sequence of increasing the prices of petrol and diesel started on May 04. Petrol was costlier by Rs 8.41 and diesel by Rs 8.45 in May and June in Delhi. So far in July, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 2.10 and that of diesel by 72 paise per liter.
There was no change in the prices of both the fossil fuels in other cities of the country today. Petrol in Mumbai was found at Rs 106.93 and diesel at Rs 97.46 per liter. In Chennai, the price of one liter of petrol was Rs 101.67 and that of diesel was Rs 94.39. Petrol in Kolkata remained stable at Rs 101.01 and diesel at Rs 92.97 per liter.
Petrol and diesel prices are reviewed daily and based on that new prices are implemented every day from 6 am.
