New Delhi (LokSatya). Petrol prices in the country remained stable at a record high for the fourth consecutive day today, amid a fall of nearly six per cent in crude oil prices in the international market this week. There was no change in the price of diesel for the sixth consecutive day.
According to leading oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation, petrol in Delhi stood at Rs 101.84 and diesel at Rs 89.87 per liter on Wednesday. Petrol and diesel prices remained stable in other cities of the country as well.
In the international market, London’s Brent crude futures, which were at $ 73.30 a barrel on Friday last week, are currently at $ 69 a barrel. Thus, crude oil has become cheaper by 5.87 percent this week, but the common people have not been able to get its benefits in the domestic market.
Petrol and diesel prices are reviewed daily and based on that new prices are implemented every day from 6 am.
