New Delhi (Loksatya). Petrol and diesel prices have been increased for the second consecutive day on Wednesday. After a gap of more than two months, their prices were increased on Tuesday.
According to Indian Oil Corporation, the country’s largest oil marketing company, petrol in the national capital Delhi today went up by 19 paise to Rs 90.74 per liter. Earlier on Tuesday, its price was increased by 15 paise. The price of diesel rose 21 paise to Rs 81.12 per liter today. Yesterday, its price had increased by 18 paise.
Petrol rose by 17 paise in Mumbai, 15 paise in Chennai and 16 paise in Kolkata to reach Rs 97.12, 92.70 and 90.92 per liter respectively.
Diesel became costlier by 21 paise in Mumbai, 19 paise in Chennai and 20 paise in Kolkata. It was priced at Rs 88.19 in Mumbai, Rs 86.09 in Chennai and Rs 83.98 per liter in Chennai.
The price of petrol and diesel is reviewed every day and based on this, new prices are applied every day from six o’clock in the morning.
