Although the BJP has not got the desired success in the election of West Bengal, but the biggest shock has come to the Congress. The Congress, which won 44 seats in 2016, was reduced to zero this time. Party leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary said that the Muslim vote went to TMC’s account. Apart from this, the Left has also transferred its vote to TMC. Due to this, the Congress fell so far behind. Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary said, ‘TMC wanted to save power while BJP wanted to gain power. Nothing like this was at stake for us. We were fighting for our survival. ‘
Accusing the BJP of polarization, Adhir Ranjan said that he had left no stone unturned in this, but proved to be a failure. He said that Muslim vote bank has been polarized in areas like Murshidabad and Malda. Chaudhary said that 4 youths were killed in the firing of central forces in Sitalakuchi and all were Muslims. Since then, polarization intensified. Chaudhary told the Indian Express that TMC took advantage of this situation and polarized its votes. The Congress leader said that women have reposed trust in Mamta Banerjee, while Muslims also believed in her.
On the question of left votes being transferred to TMC, Chaudhary said that definitely a part of the votes have been transferred. Not only this, he said that the Congress vote also went to the TMC to a large extent. Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary said that the Congress gets predominantly Muslim votes and was transferred to TMC. This situation was created due to this only. Chaudhary said that the Muslim vote went to TMC’s account and the Hindu vote went to the BJP’s account. There was nothing left for us. Let me tell you that despite contesting in alliance with the Left and the Indian Secular Front, the Congress has not got a single seat in the state.
