Security has been tightened in the area since Sunday’s violence at Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh. Now the Union Home Ministry has issued an order that till October 6, two companies of RAF and SSB will be deployed in Lakhimpur Kheri. A total of 8 people lost their lives in Sunday’s violence.
According to the order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs after the request of the Uttar Pradesh government, four companies of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) will be stationed in Lakhimpur Kheri till October 6 to maintain law and order in Lakhimpur Kheri. Of these, two will be companies of Rapid Action Force and the remaining two will be of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
This order was issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday itself. Shortly after issuing the order, two companies of SSB and one company of RAF were deployed in the area. At the same time, another company of RAF will reach the area shortly.
According to sources, the time period for deployment of central police forces is currently till October 6 but it can be increased or decreased according to the need. The source also said that around 500 personnel of central police forces will be stationed round the clock in the area. According to the Uttar Pradesh Police, so far 8 people have died in Sunday’s incident.
Let us inform that the United Kisan Morcha, which is leading the farmers’ organizations, says that Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni, crushed the farmers with a car. However, Ashish Mishra has denied the allegations of United Kisan Morcha and said that he was not present at the spot.
