After the victory of the Trinamool Congress in the West Bengal Assembly elections, the BJP has made a big announcement about many violent incidents happening in the state. The BJP is going on a nationwide dharna on May 5. It is known that BJP has alleged that Trinamool Congress workers and leaders in the state are attacking their party workers, in which many people have been killed.
Apart from this, there was also widespread violence in the state on Monday in which several BJP workers were killed and many injured when they allegedly clashed and looted shops. The Union Home Ministry has sought a factual report from the state government in the incident of an attack on opposition activists. The BJP has shared a video of arson in a party office in which bamboo bullets and roofs are seen burning and troubled people are seen shouting and running away. On social media, pictures of dead persons and footage of people fleeing robbing clothes from a shop are going viral.
The BJP claims that at least six of its activists and supporters have been killed in the attacks, including a woman. The BJP is blaming the Trinamool for this. The BJP shared a video with journalists showing the vandalism at the party office in Nandigram. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee lost the election to Shubhendu Adhikari of BJP on this seat. Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar summoned the state home secretary, director general of police (DGP) and Kolkata police commissioner and directed them to restore peace.
