Transport Department officials from Ganjam district of Odisha have been exposed to great negligence. This case of negligence is in the headlines across the country. In fact, Transport Department officials have imposed a fine of Rs.1000 on a person for driving a truck without wearing a helmet.

According to the media report, the man went to renew the permit of his vehicle at the office of Transport Department in Pramod Kumar Ganjam district. Here Pramod Kumar is told that there is a challan pending on his vehicle. The vehicle number is OR-07W / 4593.

Pramod Kumar was surprised to hear this from the officials of the Transport Department. Pramod asked the officials for which his challan has been cut. Responding to the question of Pramod Kumar, the officials said that a challan of one thousand rupees has been deducted due to driving without helmet. But, it is surprising that the vehicle whose number OR-07W / 4593 was challaned was the truck.

Pramod Kumar officials of the Transport Department have said that you have cut the challan of the truck, not the bike, but the officer did not agree. He was forced to fill the permit ‘driving without helmet’ challan, after which his permit was renewed.

Pramod Kumar said during a conversation with reporters that he has been driving a truck for about 3 years. His truck is engaged in water supply. In the meantime the permit to drive my truck expired, so went to the RTO office to get it renewed. Then I came to know that there is an invoice pending on the vehicle. But the challan was of the truck, of driving without a helmet.
