Now on vaccine Maharashtra said – we are troubled by the lack of vaccine and the central government is kind to UP-Gujarat

Vaccination remains an important weapon in the war against the corona virus. Meanwhile, many states are expressing concern over the lack of vaccine stock and are constantly appealing to the Center to provide the vaccine. But the matter has now reached accusation and there is a rage in Maharashtra and Central Government regarding the vaccine. The Health Minister of Maharashtra has accused the Modi government of discriminating against the vaccine. He said that the Center is supplying less than required vaccine, while states like Gujarat and UP are getting more vaccine than Maharashtra according to the population. He clarified that the bus has only two days of vaccine left near Maharashtra.

Referring to the data being given to which state, how much vaccine is being given, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that so far Maharashtra has been given only 7.5 lakh doses of Corona vaccine per week. While Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Haryana etc. have been given more vaccines than Maharashtra. Talking to news agency ANI, Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that the population of Gujarat is half of Maharashtra. Yet Gujarat is getting more vaccines.

He further said that I have just been told immediately that the Center has increased the number of vaccine doses from 7 lakhs to 17 lakhs. Yet we need a dose of 4 million vaccines in a week and according to this, it is still very low and 17 lakh is not enough for us. He further said that we want at least 4 million doses of Corona vaccine every week. Instead of supplying vaccines to other countries, they should supply them in our own states. The Center is helping us but not helping in the way it should be.

On Thursday, the Health Minister said that vaccination has been stopped in Satara, Sangli and Panvel. There are many districts now where vaccination has been brought to a standstill due to lack of vaccines. He said that in the state where most corona cases are coming, how can low dose of vaccine be given? I have spoken to Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan and have also raised this issue in front of him and told that we are being discriminated against. We have the most active cases here, so why are we being given less vaccine?

Explaining further about the number of vaccines required for the people of Maharashtra to be vaccinated, Tope said that we want to get 16 million vaccines per month and 4 million vaccines every week as we are vaccinating 6 lakh people every day. He further said that Harshvardhan ji has assured me that this will be rectified soon, but Maham is still waiting.

Earlier on Tuesday, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope claimed vaccine shortage in the state. He said that the vaccine stock was left in the state for only 3 days. On the other hand, NCP leader Supriya Sule also claimed that more than a hundred vaccination centers in Pune have been closed simply because vaccines are not available there. Vaccination has been stopped in Satara, Maharashtra, following vaccine deficiency.
