When the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) made Bhupendra Patel the Chief Minister of Gujarat, the Madhya Pradesh Congress took a jibe at his low followers on Twitter. Congress said that the choice of only 14,000 people has been made the Chief Minister of Gujarat. After a week, the same opportunity fell in the hands of the BJP, when the Congress party announced the name of Charanjit Singh Channi as the Chief Minister of Punjab after the resignation of Captain Amarinder Singh.
Madhya Pradesh BJP has responded to the Congress in a similar fashion. The BJP tweeted, “Charanjit Singh Channi, the choice of 2,290 people across the country, will be the new Chief Minister of Punjab. This is a slap on the face of the people of Punjab by Sonia Gandhi. Let us tell you that at the time when Channi’s name was announced, Channi had only around 2200 followers on Twitter. However, now its number is increasing.

What did the MP Congress say when Bhupendra Patel became the CM?
After the resignation of Vijay Rupani, the BJP gave the command of Gujarat to Bhupendra Patel, who won the assembly elections for the first time. He is considered close to Anandiben Patel, former chief minister of the state and the current governor of Uttar Pradesh. This announcement of BJP was shocking. MP Congress targeted through his Twitter followers. The party wrote in its tweet, ‘Bhupendra Patel, the choice of 14000 people across the country, will be the new Chief Minister of Gujarat. This is a slap on the face of the people of Gujarat by Narendra Modi.
Let us tell you that Charanjit Singh Channi is going to become the first Dalit Chief Minister of Punjab. He will take the oath of office and secrecy today at around 11 pm in Chandigarh. Before the announcement of Channi’s name, there was speculation in the Congress on names like Sukhjinder Randhawa, Ambika Soni, Sunil Jakhar. No consensus was reached on the name of the person. Later the Congress high command surprised everyone by announcing Channi’s name.
