MP: Amit Shah said by launching Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojana 2.0, Congress made only promises for 70 years

Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2.0 in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. On this occasion, Amit Shah claimed on Saturday that the Congress made only a promise of eradicating poverty for 70 years after the country’s independence, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working in the true sense for the upliftment of the poor. He alleged, “In the name of the scheme to get some money as a show, 50-100 people should get houses, Congress and its allies did the work of deceiving the poor for years by making such arrangements.

Shah said that on the contrary, Prime Minister Modi worked for the upliftment of the poor, women, dalits, tribals and backward classes and did what he said. Shah said this while addressing a program in Jabalpur on the occasion of the launch of Ujjwala Yojana (2.0) in Madhya Pradesh. Shah said, “In the year 2014, when Narendra Modi took over as the Prime Minister, there were 13 crore LPG connections in the rich people, big officials and cities.

He said that till 2014, poor mothers used to cook their food by burning wood, sticks, twigs and the smoke would enter their lungs, which damaged their lungs. Shah said, “…Modi ji understood this pain of mothers and around 9 crore households across the country got LPG connections.

Shah said that today 5 lakh people are getting LPG connection in Madhya Pradesh under the scheme. He said that the Ujjwala scheme was started in the first government of Prime Minister Modi. Shah claimed that when Modi became the Prime Minister, there were no electricity poles in 20,000 villages of the country. He said that the Modi government has done the work of providing electricity to these villages.
