Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said in Goa on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will become more powerful as the Congress party is not serious about politics. Apart from this, he accused the oldest party of the country of not taking a decision.
Hitting out at the BJP-led central government, he said Delhi’s ‘dadagiri’ is enough. Addressing a group of media persons on the last day of her three-day visit to the coastal state of Panaji, Mamata Banerjee also said that the country is suffering as the Congress cannot take decisions. Let us tell you that the assembly elections are going to be held in Goa next year.
Talking to the media, Mamata said, “I can’t say everything right now because they (Congress) didn’t take politics seriously. Modi is going to be more powerful because of Congress. If one can’t take a decision, So why should the country suffer for that?”
CM Mamata said, “They (Congress) got a chance. Instead of fighting against the BJP, they contested against me in my state.” Mamta also said that TMC believes in sharing of seats for regional parties in elections. Let us tell you that TMC has announced that it will contest all 40 seats in the upcoming Goa elections.
“I want regional parties to be strong. We want the federal structure to be strong. We should strengthen the states, if the states are strong, the Center will be strong. We don’t want Delhi’s grandeur,” she said.
Asked what decision she thinks Congress should take, she said, “I am not going to discuss about Congress as it is not my party. I have formed my own regional party and without any support.” K, we have formed the government thrice.”
“Let them decide. That is my system too, I don’t interfere in the business of any other political party. I can say that about my political party and our fight will continue. We will not bow our heads before the BJP,” she said. “
