Ministers in the Mamata government have blocked highways with farmers’ laws; The vaccine van carried differently: formula

The blockade of the national highway, led by West Bengal government minister Siddiqullah Chowdhury, forced a special vehicle carrying the COVID-19 vaccine to be diverted.

The coronavirus vaccine is being supplied to almost all the states in the country. On Wednesday, a special vehicle carrying the COVID-19 vaccine blocked the national highway in the East Burdwan district of West Bengal, led by Mamata Banerjee Minister Siddiqullah Chowdhury, who opposed the new agriculture law, and had to take another route. Former Burdwan SP Bhaskar Mukherjee said the vaccine van was diverted five kilometers before the road was blocked.

The SP said the van had to be taken from the middle of a village connecting Delhi and Kolkata. However, official sources claimed that the van had to cross 20 km of village roads to get back on the national highway.

After the state government left the Kolkata-based vaccine shop, the vaccine van delivered 31,500 doses to the East Burdwan district health department office. Vaccines were also delivered to Bankura and Purulia health centers.
