List of Muslim leaders being harassed, Congress leaders said after ED’s action

The Congress leader has alleged that they are being harassed by preparing a list of Muslim leaders in the country. Karnataka Congress MLA and former minister BZ Jamir Ahmed Khan on Saturday alleged that he is being targeted as a “conspiracy to harass influential Muslim leaders” in several states of the country. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had recently searched Khan’s properties.

Khan also claimed that a list of such influential Muslim leaders had been prepared. He said, “My people are my capital. As long as I am in politics, I will not do anything that will make my people bow their heads in shame. He tweeted that he is happy that the ED raids have cleared the doubts in the minds of many about him. Khan said, “Building a house is being projected as my biggest crime. That’s why ED raided me. The expectation with which the ED raided my place turned out to be false.

“A list of influential Muslim leaders from different states has been prepared and efforts are on to harass them,” he alleged. I am being targeted under this conspiracy, but I am not afraid of such things. The ED had conducted simultaneous searches on the premises attached to Khan’s residence and offices at different places on August 5. The Chamarajpet MLA, who did not want to respond to questions from reporters on his tweet, said he had said what he had to say and had nothing more to say in front of the media.

Asked about Khan’s allegations of compiling a list of Muslim leaders and conspiracy to harass them, state Congress president DK Shivakumar said, “I will talk to him, let’s see what his stand is.” We will discuss in the party. The Congress MLA had met Shivakumar at his residence on Friday.

Meanwhile, Khan is in Delhi and speculations started that ED has summoned him. However, dismissing such speculations, Khan said, “I often go to Delhi for personal work. ED did not call me, it is the brainchild of the media. If ED calls me, I will tell the media and show the notice.
