Lakhimpur Violence: Former Union Minister’s demand, Teni’s dismissal and Ashish’s arrest necessary


Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Friday demanded that Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni should be sacked from his post in connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence on October 3. Kaur said eight people, including four farmers, had died in the incident.

Badal, who reached Lucknow with the delegation before the Lakhimpur Kheri Yatra, said, “We demand that Ashish Mishra be arrested immediately and Minister Ajay Mishra should be sacked.” He further said, “Families of innocent people who lost their lives should be given proper compensation including government jobs.”

Harsimrat Kaur also attacked the government over the three agricultural laws and said, “The government is not listening to the farmers and now farmers are being killed. We stand with the farmers.”


Several farmer organizations, including the United Kisan Morcha (SKM), issued a statement regarding the incident, claiming the death of four farmers and alleging that one of the four farmers was shot dead by the son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni. had done.

However, Ashish Mishra denied the allegations of SKM and said that he was not present at the place where the incident took place. Uttar Pradesh Police has registered a case of murder against Ashish Mishra, son of Minister of State Ajay Mishra in the case. Simultaneously, efforts to arrest have been intensified.
