Lack of vaccine amid growing corona cases, appeals to Maharashtra’s central government


Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on Wednesday that there is no adequate vaccine in various Kovid-19 vaccination centers in the state. We have to send people back. The price of Kovid-19 drug Remedisvir is kept between Rs 1100-1400 per dose. We also need a higher number of remediesvir doses in the state as 50,000 doses are being used daily in the state. According to the news of the news agency ANI, Tope said that the state government has also demanded from the Center to vaccinate people aged between 20-40 years on a priority basis.


Explain that Maharashtra has the highest contribution in the growing active cases of Corona in the country. The state reported more than 55,000 Corona cases in the last 24 hours on Tuesday. ANI quoted Tope as saying, “We do not have adequate vaccine doses at various vaccination centers, and people have to be sent back due to lack of dose.” We have demanded from the Center that people between the age of 20-40 years should also be vaccinated on priority ”.

Here, the second wave of Corona in the country destroyed all the records so far on Tuesday. According to the latest data, 1,15,239 new cases of corona have been registered in a single day. This is the highest number of new infections found daily since the onset of the epidemic. This is the second time since Sunday, when more than one lakh new cases have been found in a single day.

There were 1,03,764 new cases in a single day on Sunday, the second highest ever. The highest number of new patients received in a single day in the first wave of Corona was 97,894 which was recorded on 17 September 2020. After the deaths of 630 more Corona patients during this period, the number of people who lost their lives to the epidemic increased to 1,66,207. According to the data, with the increase in new cases in the country, the number of under-trial cases increased to 8,38,650, which is 6.5 percent of the total cases. The country had the lowest number of 1,35,926 undertrial cases on February 12, accounting for 1.25 percent of the total cases at that time.
