Is the Kejriwal government contemplating a complete lockdown in Delhi along with the night curfew? Delhi’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai said on Tuesday that the AAP government was not considering a lockdown and was looking for other options. He also said that the central government should stop the export of corona virus vaccine and open vaccination for all.
The minister said during a press conference that the Delhi government was exploring all options and ideas. Night curfew may play an important role in preventing the spread of the corona virus, but the government is not entirely dependent on it.
However, he also made it clear that we are not considering imposing another lockdown. I believe that we can prevent the infection from spreading through other options.

Gopal Rai said that the central government should open vaccination for all to control the situation. It is very unfortunate that the Central Government has set norms to vaccinate our own people, while exporting the vaccine to other countries.
The Kejriwal government has announced imposition of a night curfew in the capital Delhi from 10 am to 5 am on Tuesday, 30 April in view of the rising Kovid-19 cases.
According to the Delhi Health Department, 3,548 fresh cases of Kovid-19 were registered in the city on Monday, while 15 more people died. An official said that in view of the increasing COVID-19 cases in Delhi, the night curfew has been decided. The positivity rate in Delhi has also risen to 5.54 per cent in the last few weeks amid a surge in cases.
