Kashmir: Racket of fake gun license was running under LG’s nose, CBI raided former advisor’s house


The CBI on Tuesday raided the house of Bashir Khan, former advisor to Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. Apart from Bashir Khan’s house, the agency has raided a total of 40 locations. This raid has been done in the case of running a fake gun license racket. Bashir Khan was removed from the post of advisor only last week. The agency had informed the Home Ministry about Bashir Khan’s involvement in this racket, after which he was removed from the post. On Tuesday, the CBI team along with the local police raided the house of Bashir Khan located in Bulbul Bagh Baghat.

Bashir Khan was also an advisor to Girish Chandra Murmu, the former Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir and Manoj Sinha, now the new LG. But action was taken against him after his name appeared in the fake license racket. The CBI directly informed the Home Ministry about Bashir Khan’s involvement in the racket. After this, at the behest of the Home Ministry, the Jammu and Kashmir government decided to remove him from the post. Meanwhile, the NIA is also conducting raids in cases of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. On Tuesday morning itself, NIA raided a total of 16 locations.


The NIA has raided the locations of The Resistance Force and the homes of overground workers associated with Pakistan-backed terrorist organizations. Let us tell you that in the last few days, terrorist attacks on civilians have started in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier there were no incidents of targeting the common people. This new trend has been started by the terrorists of The Resistance Force. For action on this, NIA has raided its premises. Apart from this, hundreds of people sympathizing with terrorists have also been detained by the administration.
