A day after meeting Home Minister Amit Shah, former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh also met National Security Advisor Ajit Doval in Delhi on Thursday. The Captain had met Amit Shah on Wednesday amid speculation that he would join the BJP after a setback from the Congress.
After a 45-minute-long conversation with the Union Home Minister, the Captain said that during this he asked Shah to end the 10-month-long farmers’ agitation against agricultural laws. Now it is being claimed in media reports that on Thursday, Captain has also met NSA Ajit Doval. However, no further information has been revealed about this meeting yet.
After meeting Shah, Captain Amarinder tweeted, “Met Union Home Minister Amit Shah ji in Delhi. During this, he talked about the long-running farmers’ movement against agricultural laws. Apart from helping Punjab in crop diversification, urged him to repeal all three agriculture laws and resolve the impasse at the earliest with the guarantee of MSP.
Let us tell you that this month, Captain Amarinder Singh had resigned from the post of CM of Punjab at the behest of the Congress high command. However, he openly expressed his displeasure, calling it an insult to himself. Captain has taken an aggressive stand against Navjot Singh Sidhu since his resignation. Since then, speculations of his joining BJP have continued.
